Deciding on whether or not to get liposuction surgery in Fort Worth is not something that should be done quickly. To be sure, deciding to have any sort of surgery is not something that you should enter into lightly. Before deciding to have surgery, even fat removal surgery, make sure you have all of the facts.

Fact #1: There Are Different Kinds Of Fat Removal Surgery

Typically, this surgery is any sort of surgery in which undesired or excess fat is removed from the body. The most popular areas of the body that are subject to fat removal surgery include the upper arms, the thighs, the buttocks, the knees, the waist, the hips, the abdomen, the cheeks, the neck and the chin. It can also refer to what is usually known as a 'tummy tuck' or an abdominoplasty. The surgery can be ultrasonic or tumescent, dry, wet, super wet, or even laser-assisted.

Laser

Laser fat removal is the least invasive type of this procedure. It was approved by the FDA in 2006 and uses an Erchonia Neira 4L laser. Erchonia Neira 4L is a cold, or low level outputted laser that does not affect the thermal levels of the tissues in the body. The laser is calibrated specifically to liquefy or destabilize the person's fat but does not affect the tissue that surrounds it. This means that the patient doesn't feel any heat or any sensation from the application of the laser. After the laser is applied, the liposuction surgeon uses a small sized cannula to remove the fat calls from the body. This is considered to be quite a bit less traumatic for the body than the 'traditional' fat removal methods.

SmartLipo Surgery:

SmartLipo is another form of laser fat removal and is usually done in the doctors office or in a clinic. A cannula or small tube that contains a laser fiber is inserted into the patients skin and then moved back and forth to deliver the energy of the laser to the fat cells. This causes them to rupture and drain away, to be removed by the body's waste system. This method also causes the blood vessels around the fat to coagulate immediately which means there is less swelling and bleeding for the patient. The laser also affects the skins collagen which will cause it to shrink and tighten gradually over six or eight weeks. Usually a person will need more than one session and each session can take between thirty and forty five minutes.

Getting liposuction surgery in Fort Worth involves knowing about what kinds of fat removal options there are and the procedure by which you would like it to happen. When you have educated yourself on the different methods in which fat removal is performed, and then you can try to find your doctor. Your doctor will be able to tell you exactly which method will work right for you and answer any questions you might still have. There are plenty of places to get this surgery in this city, but make sure know which kind you want to get!
